Your beautiful, one-of-a-kind wrist rests peacefully between the four white volcanic lava beads that represent North, East, West, and South. The word “news” is derived from these cardinal points. Actually, hold on...I just googled “where does the word news come from” and it says it means Noteworthy Events, Weather, and Sports. But Snopes says it comes from like a French word or something.  What the hell is happening here? Can someone get back to us on where the word news came from?
